Taught by Emma Kerridge-Conium
August 22, 2026 (Saturday)
Time: 9 am-4 pm ET
Two ways to participate in this workshop:
- On-line via Zoom, or
- In-person Watch Party! at Mary Alice Warren Community Center, Lewisville, NC
Step into a world where art meets the cosmos. In this uplifting workshop, Emma Kerridge-Conium will guide you through the peaceful, almost meditative process of creating celestial mandalas inspired by the sun, the moon, and a sky filled with shining stars.
You’ll begin by learning how simple sacred-geometry shapes can form graceful star patterns. With just a compass and a few measured lines, an entire night sky starts to appear. Then, you’ll build a glowing mandala featuring the sun and crescent moons—watching the design unfold as you highlight the hidden paths within the geometry.
Once the framework is set, you’ll bring your mandala to life with colored pencil. Emma will show you how to add soft ombré blends, gentle transitions of light and shadow, and her playful “scribble scumble” technique that adds energy and texture.
Whether you’re new to mandalas or looking to spark your creativity in a fresh way, this workshop offers a wonderful mix of structure and freedom. You’ll leave with a stunning piece of celestial art—and the skills to create many more.
A perfect class for anyone who loves color, pattern, and a little bit of stardust.
This workshop will be offered live online via Zoom. A video of the workshop will be sent to all registered a couple days following the completion of the workshop.
**Cancellation/Refund Policy: Since a video recording of this workshop will be available for all who register, there will be no refunds for cancellations or no-shows
